Skyview Networks Launches Cirocast Audio Platform

Skyview Networks has introduced Cirocast, a cloud-native audio distribution platform designed to give broadcasters greater flexibility, control and new revenue opportunities as the industry shifts toward IP-based delivery.

The launch comes as changes to C-band satellite services prompt broadcasters to transition away from traditional satellite distribution. Cirocast is positioned as an alternative, moving beyond legacy workflows that rely on rigid copy splits and edge-based processing, and instead offering a scalable, cloud-driven approach.

According to Skyview, the platform delivers broadcast-quality audio over IP with low latency suitable for live and linear programming. It assembles fully mixed, market-specific audio feeds in the cloud prior to delivery, allowing ad targeting, copy splits and content personalization to occur upstream rather than at the edge.

The company says this model enables broadcasters to connect programming directly to virtualized environments, cloud-based automation systems or on-premises infrastructure, while opening new monetization opportunities.

"We built Cirocast because the economics of broadcast distribution are shifting and networks deserve a platform that takes advantage of this transition," said Aaron Mellis. He added that the platform is designed to balance reliability with flexibility while turning distribution into a potential revenue driver through integrated ad insertion and copy split capabilities.

Built on Skyview's three decades of audio distribution experience, Cirocast is designed to meet the performance and reliability demands of broadcast operations.

Skyview Networks plans to demonstrate the platform at the 2026 NAB Show, taking place April 18-22 in Las Vegas.
