KROQ-FM has partnered with In-N-Out Burger to relaunch its Wilshire Boulevard performance venue as the In-N-Out Burger Sound Space at KROQ, bringing together two Southern California brands around live music and community events.
The revamped venue will officially debut April 21 with an exclusive performance by Bleachers. Select shows will also feature the In-N-Out Cookout Truck serving complimentary food to attendees.
Owned by Audacy, KROQ's Sound Space has operated since 2011 as an intimate performance venue in Los Angeles' Miracle Mile, hosting more than 170 live events. Artists who have appeared at the space include Coldplay, Linkin Park, Imagine Dragons, Green Day, Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, Twenty One Pilots and Fall Out Boy.
"For the last 15 years, The Sound Space at KROQ has been the original destination in LA and Orange County for intimate performances from the biggest bands in the world," said Kevin Weatherly, Senior Vice President of Programming at KROQ, noting the partnership marks a new phase for the venue.
Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson, President and Owner of In-N-Out Burger, said the collaboration reflects the shared cultural impact of both brands in Southern California, adding that music has long been a personal connection to KROQ.
Beyond live performances, the Sound Space will host broadcasts, concerts, podcast events and other custom experiences.
KROQ and In-N-Out are also continuing their partnership with the Slave 2 Nothing Foundation, which focuses on combating human trafficking and substance abuse. The companies will present the sixth annual Rock 2 Freedom Benefit Concert on October 24 at The Wiltern, hosted by KROQ personality Megan Holiday.
Founded in 2016, the Slave 2 Nothing Foundation has awarded more than $17 million in grants to over 400 organizations, with In-N-Out covering all operational costs to ensure all donations go directly to supported causes.
