Total Media has flipped WYPC in Wellston-Jackson, OH, to Oldies using Seaboard Networks' "Good Time, Great Oldies" programming, marking the company's second format conversion with Seaboard in as many weeks.
The move follows Total Media's recent launch of "Southern Ohio Gold" on WATH in Athens, OH, after that station transitioned from Sports to Oldies. Both stations are programmed by Seaboard Networks CEO Steve Clendenin.
According to Clendenin, the WYPC launch represents Total Media's second station to adopt Seaboard's Gold 24/7 format. He said the format was customized for the local market in collaboration with JJ Hale and the Total Media team to create the desired sound and presentation.
"The flip represents the second for Total Media Group using Seaboard's Gold 24/7 format," Clendenin said. "The format was customized for the local market while working closely with JJ Hale and the team at Total Media to ensure the sound and presentation they were looking for."
