SiriusXM is introducing SiriusXM Sports Pass, a new subscription tier that packages the company's complete sports audio lineup into a standalone offering for $5 per month or $49 annually. The new service launches September 1, timed with the start of the college football and NFL seasons.
The subscription includes every live game and event carried by SiriusXM, along with local sports talk stations, exclusive sports channels, national sports programming, expert analysis and podcasts. SiriusXM said the new package is designed for fans who want year-round access to sports content at a lower price point while its full sports lineup will continue to be available through its Platinum, All-Access, and Music & Entertainment plans.
Sports Pass subscribers will have access to live play-by-play from the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, NASCAR, IndyCar, Formula 1, PGA TOUR, college sports, soccer, tennis, WWE Premium Live Events and more. The package also includes SiriusXM's dedicated sports channels such as Mad Dog Sports Radio, SiriusXM NFL Radio, MLB Network Radio and SiriusXM NBA Radio, along with content from ESPN Radio, Fox Sports, NBC Sports Radio and other national brands.
The service will also feature local sports stations, including the recently announced addition of 23 Audacy sports stations and ESPN LA 710, joining the SiriusXM lineup on September 1. Some local stations and team-specific play-by-play channels will be available exclusively through the SiriusXM app and vehicles equipped with SiriusXM with 360L technology.
"Every new channel, artist performance, live event, and creator collaboration advances our vision for the future of audio: making SiriusXM a home for fandom," said SiriusXM CEO Jennifer Witz. "SiriusXM Sports Pass brings that vision to life for sports fans by putting every game and event we carry, hometown voices, national personalities and the daily sports conversation into one simple, affordable subscription."
According to SiriusXM, sports programming has become one of its strongest drivers of listener engagement. Citing Edison Research's Sports Audio Report 2024, the company noted that the average U.S. sports fan spends six hours and 26 minutes listening to audio each day-more than two hours longer than the average American.
