SiriusXM Drops Howard 101 in Channel Lineup Shakeup

SiriusXM is dropping Howard Stern's Howard 101 from its channel lineup as part of a reshuffling that will move Andy Cohen's Radio Andy into the channel's former slot. The changes take effect September 1, according to an update posted by SiriusXM. Radio Andy, the pop culture channel curated and hosted by Cohen, will move from channel 102 to channel 101. Stern's primary Howard 100 channel will remain on channel 100.

The lineup change comes months after Stern reached a new agreement with SiriusXM that allowed the veteran radio personality to remain with the satellite broadcaster while reducing his workload.

"I am happy to announce that I have figured out a way to have it all," Stern told listeners when announcing the agreement last December. "More free time and continuing to be on the radio."

The channel consolidation also follows reported staffing reductions at "The Howard Stern Show." Page Six reported earlier this month that about a dozen employees were laid off, while radio host and producer Rahsaan Rogers subsequently announced his departure.

Stern joined Sirius Satellite Radio in 2006 after signing a five-year, $500 million agreement in 2004 to leave terrestrial radio. His programming was built around two channels, Howard 100 and Howard 101.

The move of Radio Andy to channel 101 has an ironic connection to an on-air stunt Stern staged in September 2025 amid widespread speculation about his future at SiriusXM.

After Stern delayed his return from summer vacation, Cohen appeared on his channel and jokingly announced that Stern and SiriusXM had parted ways and that the channel would become "Andy 100." The stunt generated headlines before Stern returned and revealed that he had orchestrated the prank.

Nearly a year later, Cohen is actually moving onto one of the two channel positions long associated with Stern, although Stern himself remains at SiriusXM on Howard 100.
