Cincinnati's STAR 93.3 Flips to All-Christmas Music

Pillar Media's WAKW-FM (STAR 93.3) in Cincinnati switched to around-the-clock Christmas music at midnight November 1, launching its seasonal "Cincinnati's Christmas STAR" programming for the Tri-State area. The holiday playlist includes classics from Andy Williams and Frank Sinatra alongside contemporary favorites from Mariah Carey and Pentatonix.

"Over the years, the arrival of Cincinnati's Christmas STAR has become a beloved tradition for our listeners," said Pillar Media Chief Programming Officer Matt Stockman. "We're thrilled to take part in the unofficial kick-off of the holiday season."

STAR 93.3 midday personality Kristen James said listener requests for Christmas music begin months before the seasonal switch.

"Christmas is such a joyful time for so many people who listen to STAR. We start getting requests for Christmas music in July!" said James. "So, to be able to get the season started a little early for those who enjoy it, and to have the opportunity to brighten their day with holiday tunes they love, is such a blessing."
