ESPN Radio Inks Multi-Year Deal with Nielsen

The Nielsen Company inks ESPN Radio to a multi-year deal to use its radio audience measurement service in the U.S., due to launch in August, 2009. ESPN Radio will use the Nielsen measurement in 51 markets, joining previously announced clients Cumulus Radio and Clear Channel Radio.
In addition, the following media agencies have signed up for Nielsen radio ratings: Schnucks Creative Services in St. Louis, MO; and Meridian-Chiles in Lexington, KY.
"ESPN is proud to participate in the launch of the Nielsen radio service," said VP/Audio Research & Special Projects Dr. Tom Evans. "We have a long history of supporting innovative research and look forward to reviewing the first set of audience data when it is released in August."
