Mega's WNYZ (Pulse 87)/New York Seeks Donations
Mega Media Group's Rhythmic CHR WNYZ-FM (Pulse 87)/New York is asking listeners for donations, saying it only has ne week left before the plug is pulled. Pre-set donations are set anywhere from ten dollars to one thousand dollars via credit card. They're also offering tote bags and t-shirts.
"Now, we're getting close to our final hour," a post says on its web site. "We are looking to you, our loyal listeners, to help us in any way, at any level to keep the Pulse alive. Please help save Pulse 87. We knowe this station has a lot of potential."
The station launched in February, 2008, under Program Director Joel Salkowitz. The station's signal originates from the audio portion WNYZ-TV's low power translator.
