Alpha Files with FCC to LMA CBS/Portland Deal


Alpha Broadcasting, headed by Larry Wilson, has filed with the FCC to assume control of four recently-acquired outlets in Portland, OR, from CBS Radio for $40 million under a Local Marketing Agreement (LMA) until the deals close. Meanwhile, Alpha is expected to complete the acquisition of News KXL-AM and Sports KXTG-FM (95.5 The Game) from Rose City Radio within the next couple of weeks.

Included in the CBS deal were KUPL-FM (Country 98.7), KUFO-FM (Rock 101), AAA KINK-FM and Talk KCMD-AM (970 The Talker).
