NYMRAD Issues 2nd Half 2016 State of Market Report

New York Market Radio Association (NYMRAD) has released its Second Half, 2016 State of the New York Market Report. This report is meant to help businesses, advertisers and the Radio industry stay informed about the New York economy and current Radio research. The Q3 and Q4 edition covers the New York region from July to December, 2016.

There were 80 advertisers new to Radio in the second half of 2016. Nearly 200 advertisers more than doubled their market ad spend. 15 product categories were up by double digits. The two most significant category drivers were the Grocery and Department Store categories both of which grew by over 40%.

"Many times, advertisers do not realize the power of Radio. Often they think that the number of listeners of AM/FM Radio is the same as streaming services. However, research shows that Radio's reach is at least 5 times higher than streaming services," said Provoke Insights Principal Director of Strategy & Research Carly Fink.

The NYMRAD State of the Market Report provides specific business trends as well as local information from a variety of sources including Wall Street Journal, Crains, Nielsen Audio, Miller Kaplan, Labor Statistics for the New York City Region, BIA/Kelsey and more. Read it here.
