Paul Gardner & his Elko Radio Company have purchased the 25kw Country KRJC-FM (95.3) from long-time owner Holiday Broadcasting of Salt Lake City for $300,000. The deal also includes 250W FM translator K255CE (98.9). However, it does not include the KRJC studio/office building. KRJC will be moving to the existing ELKO Radio building that houses KELK-AM and FM (l240/95.9), KLKO-FM (93.7) and KEAU-FM (104.7). A Local Marketing Agreement (LMA) will commence on August 1.

Holiday Broadcasting is owned by 88-year-old Ralph J. Carlson, a member of both the Utah & Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame. He has owned & operated ten radio stations in Arizona, Idaho, Nevada and Utah. He has two remaining radio stations: KCPX-AM and KCYN-FM in Moab, UT.

Elko, NV, is the largest city in any direction in over 220 miles, making it as the city's motto states: "the Heart of Northeast Nevada." It is located on Interstate 80 halfway between Sait Lake City, Utah and Reno, NV.

George Kimble of Kozacko Media Services brokered the transaction.
