Arizona Lotus to Sell KQTH-FM/Tucson to Family Life

Arizona Lotus, a unit of Lotus Communications, has agreed to sell 3kW News/Talk KQTH-FM (104.1)/Tucson to Family Life Broadcasting. Arizona Lotus currently operates four stations in Tucson market and has purchased four Tucson stations from The E.W. Scripps Company. In order to meet the FCC rules that caps station ownership in single markets, Lotus will divest both KQTH and Rhythmic AC KTGV-FM (106.3) -- Bustos Media Holdings is acquiring KTGV.

Lotus Communications, headquartered in Los Angeles, owns and operates 35 stations serving the Los Angeles, Bakersfield, Fresno, Las Vegas, Reno, Sacramento and Tucson radio markets.

Family Life Broadcasting is an Arizona not-for-profit corporation headed by Dr. Randy Carlson. Family Life Broadcasting, Inc. also owns radio stations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Michigan, New Mexico, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin.

Kalil & Co. brokered the transaction for both parties.
