Univision Communications presented for the first time at the 4th Annual IAB Podcast Upfront in New York. The presentation emphasized its commitment to audio, showcasing Univision's content podcast offerings. This included the announcement of Victoria's Secret model Ambra Battilana Gutierrez's podcast "In Our Words," the new Spanish-language podcast entitled "Los Inocentes" and Univision News' Teresa Rodriguez's "The Daughters of Juarez," a true story of serial murder south of the border. Steve Mandala and President of Radio Jesus Lara presented Univision's podcast offerings.

"Audio has long been a core component of our media portfolio and we are now the top destination for Spanish-language podcasts. Our success is based on a formula combining our deep consumer insights informing what Hispanic America wants with the most recognizable and influential talent in the business. This combination differentiates us and delivers unrivaled value to advertisers using podcast innovations," said UCI President of Advertising Sales and Marketing Steve Mandala. "Our commitment has never been stronger, and we look forward to working closely with our partners and the best talent in the business to build upon our recent successes."

Additionally, Mandala provided examples of how the company is monetizing podcasts by partnering with brands that have found value utilizing on-demand digital audio to reach Hispanics in the U.S.

"Culture is in constant change and so are our consumers. The way they consume media and eventually shop are also changing. We had to find the perfect, inventive, combination of new media along with the right talent to make sure our brand campaign would resonate with our key audience and drive results," said Zamora Company USA/Licor 43 CMO Oscar Martinez. "This is where Univision came into play with innovative strategic thinking that matched what we were facing. When we saw Univision's plan and approach, we were confident we had made the perfect decision in partnering with an organization that not only understands new media, but it's audience."
