EMF Closes on Acquisition of WCPT/DeKalb IL for $1.6M

Educational Media Foundation (EMF) closed on its purchase of 20kW Talk WCPT-FM licensed to DeKalb, IL, from WDEK, Inc., an Illinois corporation for $1.6 million. WCPT also puts a fringe signal into the Chicago area. EMF is a not-for-profit organization based in Rocklin, CA, that operates the K-LOVE and Air1 radio networks. Bob Heymann of the Chicago office of Media Services Group served as the broker in the transaction.
