EMF to Acquire KMJR-FM (La Caliente 98.3)/Corpus Christi

Educational Media Foundation has agreed to acquire 996kW Regional Mexican KMJR-FM (La Caliente 98.3), licensed to Odem, Texas and serving the Corpus Christi market, from Tejas Broadcasting Ltd. for $432,000. EMF, headed by Alan Mason, owns and operates more than 250 Christian stations nationwide, as well as the Air1, K-Love and K-Love Classics networks. Tejas Broadcasting is headed by James Anderson and also owns KLHB-FM and KLTG-FM in Corpus Christi.
Bill Whitley of the Dallas office and George Reed of the Jacksonville office of Media Services Group served as the brokers for this transaction.
