Studstill Media Group Sells Eight Illinois Stations

Studstill Media and the Studstill family, owners of Mendota Broadcasting, Inc. and Laco Radio Inc. have agreed to sell eight stations for a total of $1.8 million. Included in the deal are WALS-FM/Oglesby IL, WIVQ-FM/Spring Valley IL, WSTQ-FM, WSPL-AM and WYYS-FM/Streator IL, WGLC-FM/Mendota, IL, WBZG-FM/Peru IL and W253BX/Streator IL. The purchaser is Shaw Local Radio Co., an Illinois corporation.
Bob Heymann of the Chicago office of Media Services Group served as the broker for the seller in this transaction.
