Shaw Media Closes on Buy of Four Stations in Illinois

NRG Media has closed on its previously announced sale of four stations in Illinois to Shaw Local Radio Co. Included in the deal were 1kW WIXN-AM (1460), 6kW WRCV-FM (101.7) and 0.25kW W236DM (95.1) in Dixon, IL and 3.2kW WSEY-FM (95.7) in Oregon, IL. Shaw Media, is an Illinois-based company headed by John Rung. It also owns stations in Streator, Oglesby, Peru, Mendota and Spring Valley, IL. NRG Media also owns stations in Nebraska, Iowa and Wisconsin.

Kalil & Co. Inc. brokered the transaction.
