Nielsen's latest study on U.S. audio listening habits for the third quarter of 2024 shows a significant shift in consumer behavior, with digital platforms continuing to gain ground over traditional broadcasting. According to the study, there has been a noticeable increase in podcast consumption, which saw a 15% rise from the previous quarter. Nielsen's report also highlighted the demographic shifts in audio consumption. Younger audiences, particularly those between the ages of 18 and 35, are the primary drivers of growth in digital audio platforms.
