Haberman, Middlekauff Team for KGMZ Mid-Mornings

Sports KGMZ-FM (95.7 The Game) San Francisco taps Northern California natives, high school friends and former roommates Guy Haberman (pictured) and John Middlekauff as co-hosts for the Sports outlet's mid-morning show, weekdays from 10am-12pm, starting January 20. They replace Sean O'Connell and Matt Steinmetz, who left on Thursday. Haberman is the current host of the 95.7 The Game's Oakland Athletics Pre-Game Dugout Show and Post-Game A's talk shows. He spent the last year hosting "The Guy Haberman Show" evenings from 7-11pm.

Middlekauff joins the station after serving as an NFL scout for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2010 to 2013. There, he spent two years working in the Eagles' front office before transitioning to scout the West Coast. Prior to his NFL experience, he was the recruiting coordinator for the Fresno State football program. Middlekauff has been an NFL analyst on 95.7 The Game since September.

"Most new shows take months, even years, to develop on-air chemistry. Guy and John, who have been friends since high school, will have real chemistry on day 1," said PD Jason Barrett. "We couldn't be more excited about pairing two young, fresh, knowledgeable and exciting talents like Guy and John on-air. Bay Area sports fans will be in for two great hours of sports radio starting January 20."

"Who would have thought, back when John and I were in high school, that we'd end up doing what we love most and doing it together on-air in the Bay Area," added Haberman. "John is not only a brilliant football mind but one of the most knowledge sports fans I know. Our show will be energetic, informative and fun for all Bay Area sports fans!"

"As someone who has spent most of his life in Northern California, I couldn't be more excited to be a part of 95.7 The Game," said Middlekauff. "I'm looking forward to sharing my insights and opinions with the audience and I'm especially thrilled to do it with one of my good friends, Guy Haberman, who I believe is one of the brightest young media stars in the Bay Area."
