Chicago's Big 95.5 Adds New PM Drive and Night Jocks


Big 95.5, Chicago's Hit Country, announced Tuesday that Alabama will join the station to host afternoons (2-7pm) and Erik Zachary (pictured right) will host evenings (7-midnight), effective immediately. Alabama most recently hosted afternoons at iHeartMedia's WNOH/NOW 105 in Norfolk, Virginia. A Birmingham native, Alabama, has worked on-air in Detroit, Lansing and Fresno.

"Alabama is incredibly talented and fiercely competitive," said Steve Stewart, Program Director, Big 95.5. "She not only does a great show but is also nonstop in the community and on all social media platforms. Alabama will be seen all over Chicago! "

Erik Zachary most recently worked as an on-air personality for 103.5 KISS-FM in Chicago. A recent graduate of Columbia College Chicago, Zachary will bring his expanding music knowledge, energy and personality to the Country format.

"Eric is one of the most energetic air talents in Chicago and we are lucky to have him on the team," said Steve Stewart. "He has a huge social media presence and a love for Country music."

"To say that I'm ecstatic would be a severe understatement," said Zachary. "I've grown up in the Chicagoland area and when I first got called to be on-air at 103.5 KISS-FM, I thought nothing could ever beat that feeling. I was wrong, not only do I have the opportunity to talk with Chicago Country fans five nights a week but I get to be a part of launching what is guaranteed to be a BIG station. The Country format is one that I've grown extremely passionate about so to be given the chance to work every day with a team of the industry's absolute BEST in my hometown. That is simply unreal."
