Mark Van Allen is appointed to the newly created position of Operations Manager for Mid-West Family Broadcasting/Rockford, IL. The group includes Rock WXRX-FM (104.9 The X), Country WRTB-FM (95-3 The Bull), Hot AC WGFB-FM (B103), Classic Hits W263BJ-FM (Mighty 100.5) and Spanish WNTA-AM (1330 LaMovida). Van Allen will also serve as Program Director of B103.
Van Allen was most recently Assistant Operations Manager with Mid-West Family Broadcasting in Madison, WI, for Magic 98, Q106 and Program Director of HANK@1550 and has worked with M-WF for over 20 years. He'll be on the job in Rockford November 30.
In addition, Justin Brown has been hired as Programming Coordinator and Music Director for WRTB. His past work experience includes 15 years with WJVL in Janesville, WI, most recently as Assistant PD. Browns has also spent time with WXXQ-FM in Rockford, IL, as middays/Production Director and WWQM in Madison as afternoons/Imaging Director (owned by MWF). He'll be in the building shortly after December 7.
