77 WABC Radio announces a new morning show, "Bernie and Sid In The Morning", featuring beloved New York talk hosts Bernie McGuirk and Sid Rosenberg, which debuts Monday, April 2. The program replaces the "Imus in the Morning Show", and airs weekdays from 6am-10am.

McGuirk and Rosenberg take the morning marquee on 77 WABC from their previous midday position. "Bernie and Sid in The Morning" features the on-air duo's passionate conversation about the biggest topics in New York and across the nation, with high-profile guests and interaction with great New York listeners. McGuirk and Rosenberg are familiar voices to Imus listeners in New York, as part of the "Imus In The Morning Show" for over 20 years.

Chad Lopez, Vice President/Market Manager, Cumulus Media-New York, said: "One of Don Imus' legacies is that he created stars on his show. Bernie and Sid are no exception. We are excited to promote Bernie and Sid to Mornings and think 77 WABC listeners will love what they bring to mornings."

Craig Schwalb, WABC Program Director, said: "It is nearly impossible to replace a legend like Don Imus. Bernie and Sid have been part of the Imus cast for decades and the new show represents an evolution more than a replacement."

Rosenberg said: "I used to joke with Bernard over a decade ago about possibly working together. After all my trials and tribulations, that looked like a pipe dream not that long ago. I love working with Bernard and appreciate his friendship even more." He added: "Of course, none of this happens without Don Imus. I'll always appreciate what Imus did for me personally and professionally. He's a true legend and I've stolen as much as I can from him without being too obvious! "

McGuirk said: "This is a dream come true for me and an honor for my longtime friend Sid and I to assume the morning slot on the legendary WABC Radio from the irreplaceable and legendary Don Imus. We owe it all to Mr. Imus! To quote the great Conor McGregor, 'We're not here to take part. We're here to take over!' Brooklyn and the Bronx booming from your radio!!"

McGuirk served as Executive Producer of the "Imus in The Morning Show" since 1987. He was born and raised in the South Bronx, New York, where he worked in his younger years as a taxi driver. McGuirk has been a radio and television fixture since 1986, after his graduation from College of Mount Saint Vincent in the Riverdale section of the Bronx.

Rosenberg joined 77 WABC's "Imus in the Morning" show as Sports Anchor in 2000. He started his 20-year radio career on "The Drive," heard on SportsLineUSA.com. The show eventually moved to broadcast radio, and was syndicated nationally in more than 40 markets by SportsFan and Westwood One. He also co-hosted the NFL Today pre-game show heard nationally on Westwood One for three seasons. Rosenberg co-hosted "The Sports Guys," heard mornings on legendary radio station 102.7 WNEW FM. Later, Rosenberg hosted middays with Jody McDonald and later, with Joe Benigno on WFAN in New York City. He also did sports on the Imus show through 2005. Rosenberg moved to South Florida working at 790 The Ticket and Miami's WQAM-560 AM. He also worked as morning drive sports reporter for 1010-WINS New York and hosted morning drive on 640 AM Sports/WMEN in Royal Palm Beach, FL.
