Cortez Exits Energy 94.1/San Antonio as APD/Afternoons

Alpha Media CHR KTFM-FM (Energy 94.1)/San Antonio Assistant PD and afternoon personality Tony Cortez exits after over 6 years. Previously, he handled afternoons at iHeartMedia CHR KHFI-FM (96.7 Kiss FM). The Austin native has worked in South Texas Radio his entire career and worked for KHFI in the late 90's. Prior to his second KHFI stint, Cortex spent five years doing nights at KXXM-FM (Mix 96.1)/San Antonio. He was named the number one radio host for the annual San Antonio Current Magazine's, Best Of SA contest in 2015.

Cortez wrote on his Facebook page, "Entertaining you each day on the airwaves has been one of the most fulfilling and joyful experiences of my life. That's why it is with a heavy heart that I say good bye."
