KCAL-FM/Riverside Announces Air Staff Additions

Active Rock KCAL-FM/Riverside announces two additions to its daily on-air lineup. Nikki Preston (pictured) will take over the 9am-2pm slot beginning August 30. No stranger to the area, Preston previously worked as a morning show producer for sister Classic Hits KOLA-FM for several years before heading down to San Diego to work for Entercom. Her previous stops inclue Las Vegas and Rochester, NY.
"I am super amped to be back rockin' the Inland Empire and getting th e opportunity to work with such an incr edibly talented group of people," said Preston.
In addition, longtime KCAL Promotion Director and parttime air personality, Brandon "4orty" Kessel is joining Patrick Tish to become a permanent co-host of the "Tons Of Rock In The Morning" morning show.
"This has been a goal of mine for many years now. I'm pumped to be added to the morning show with Patrick, especially here in my hometown," said Kessel.
Tish added, "I give credit to our management for seeing the potential of Brandon and myself in the mornings, together we can usher in a new era of mornin gs here on KCAL."
Kessel is also adding the additional title of Music Director and will assist in the KCAL Programming Department. Those changes lead to one more as Laura Dover steps up from Promotions Coordinator to take over the Promotions Department as Director.
KCAL PD/afternoon host Daryl Norsell added, "I'm incredibly exc ited about the new additions to our on air family . Nikki and 4orty are both really talented, and dedicated to making fun radio. KCAL is on a great roll right now, and with the team all set we're ready to kill it."
