KFBK/Sacramento Morning Co-Anchor Amy Lewis Exits

Veteran news broadcaster Amy Lewis exits News/Talk KFBK-AM/Sacramento as co-anchor of the morning show reports The Desk. She had been with the station since August, 2006. Lewis was also KFBK's co-anchor for almost a decade, prior to going to KABC-AM/Los Angeles in 2000. She was released by KFBK shortly after the end of her morning news broadcast on Wednesday. Lewis later confirmed her departure to The Desk, and said the move was "not my idea."
Lewis began her career in Sacramento in 1980 and returned to KFBK in 2006 after a stint at KABC/Los Angeles. She's won a number of awards during her radio career, including commendations from the Radio and Television News Directors Association and the Associated Press Television and Radio Association.
