Fresno's Craig Hansen Retiring After Over 40 Years

Cumulus Media has announced that after over four decades on the air at NewsTalk 580AM/105.9 KMJ in Fresno, Craig Hansen is retiring. Hansen's first day at the 50,000 watt station was November 24, 1976. His last show will air on December 22.

Over the decades, Hansen held a number of on-air positions, but is probably best known for his years as KMJ's go-to-guy on Saturdays where he hosted KMJ's morning news, Autoshop Talk, Real Talk and Radio Tradio. Hansen's 42-year tenure is the second longest in KMJ's history - second only to Jerry Higgenbotham's run from 1949 to 1994.

Over the next few weeks, Hansen will be making special guest appearances on several KMJ shows to regale listeners with some of his epic radio tales. To watch Hansen and KMJ talk host Ray Appleton chat about Hansen's days at KMJ, Click Here.
