KISS 104.1/Atlanta Adds Monie Love as New Afternoon Host

WALR-FM (KISS 104.1) Atlanta welcomes two-time Grammy nominee and radio personality Monie Love to the weekday afternoon lineup for the Atlanta-based CHR. Beginning Wednesday, May 22, she'll air weekdays from 2-7pm. Love has received Grammy nominations for "Monie in the Middle" and "It's a Shame (My Sister)," and was featured on the remix of Whitney Houston's R&B hit "My Name Is Not Susan." She previously co-hosted the syndicated" Ed Lover Morning Show" and has been featured in a number of TV shows in Atlanta.

Director of Branding and Programming Terri Avery said, "We are so excited to have Monie Love join the KISS 104.1 team. Her love of hip-hop, entertaining personality and star power make her a great addition to our afternoons here in Atlanta."

"I'm excited to be joining the KISS 104.1 family in afternoon drive. Get ready for a good time," added Love.

Since her start in British hip-hop in the late 1980s, Love quickly elevated her position in the industry and brought her talents and musical influence to the U.S. years later. She's also is well-known for her status as a protege to Queen Latifah and association with Native Tongues in the late 1980s, early 1990s.
