Alfred Williams, former Denver Bronco and radio host, will depart from iHeartMedia. Since 2019, Williams has been a familiar voice on Denver's KOA 850 AM and 94.1 FM, where he hosted an afternoon sports show. During his tenure at iHeartMedia, Williams, aka "Big Al," co-hosted with Broncos play-by-play announcer Dave Logan. His departure coincides with significant layoffs at iHeartMedia.

Williams expressed his gratitude in a heartfelt message posted on X, acknowledging his colleagues at iHeartMedia for their support and teamwork. "Together, we've shared countless moments that I will always cherish," he wrote. He also thanked his listeners for their dedication and shared passion for sports, promising them that this departure is not a final goodbye but rather a short break before he returns to the airwaves.

Before joining KOA, Williams spent 15 years at KKFN (104.3 The Fan) in Denver, co-hosting "The Drive" with Darren McKee. His radio career followed a distinguished athletic career, including playing for the CU football teams in back-to-back national championship games and winning two Super Bowl titles with the Denver Broncos in the late 1990s.
