Tessa Barrera to Exit Rod Ryan Show on KTBZ in Houston

Tessa Barrera will depart from "The Rod Ryan Show" on iHeartMedia's Alternative KTBZ-FM (94.5 The Buzz) in Houston by the end of this week. Barrera will be concluding a five-year stint with the show. Since July 2023, Barrera has been managing dual responsibilities as she also holds a co-host position on "Houston Life," a daily program aired on KPRC-TV in Houston. She plans to focus more on this television role moving forward.

Barrera's journey with KTBZ-FM began in September, 2019 after spending a year as a news anchor and producer at iHeartMedia's News/Talk KFI-AM in Los Angeles. Her background extends to her time in Corpus Christi, where she served as a reporter and sportscaster at KRIS & KZTV. She also hosted a show on KEYS (ESPN 1440) in Corpus Christi.
