WHOM/Portland ME Names Lizzy Snyder as Morning Co-Host

After a four-year run waking up Central Maine on WMME (92 Moose), Lizzy Snyder is heading south. Snyder is named the new morning co-host on Townsquare Media's 94.9 WHOM in Portland, ME, succeeding longtime personality Lori Voornas. She'll join Jeff Parsons on the station's morning show beginning next week.

Voornas, a beloved voice on WHOM for decades, will sign off with her final show this Friday, June 27. In a symbolic passing of the mic, it was Voornas herself who selected Snyder as her successor. "She's the very woman, the very voice, that made my world feel safer on those rides to school, when I was small, self-conscious, and searching for a place where I belonged," Snyder wrote in a heartfelt message on WHOM's website. "That is what morning show hosts do. That is their superpower."

Snyder revealed she had quietly been training behind the scenes at WHOM for the past month while continuing her morning show duties at 92 Moose. "That kind of thing doesn't happen - and has never been done before," she noted. "I've been living a double life."

Known for her vibrant personality and emotional authenticity, Snyder describes herself as "a little loud, a little weird, wildly passionate, and deeply human." She added, "I believe mornings matter. I believe laughter is sacred. And I believe in showing up, fully and honestly, every single day. Let's make magic in the mornings, together." In a full-circle moment, Snyder said this new role feels like a dream realized. "This is a love letter to Moose Nation, to my new HOM family, and to the little girl in the backseat of a van listening to Lori, who is now the woman stepping up to her mic."
