Dave Benson is leaving Cumulus' AAA KFOG-FM/San Francisco as Program Director and nine years with the company. He had also overseen co-owned Classic Rock KSAN-FM (100.7 The Bone) since last October. Before joining KFOG in June, 2000, Benson served as Program Director of KBCO-FM/Denver. He's also programmed KACD-FM and KBCD-FM (Groove 103.1)/Los Angeles in 1998.
In an internal memo, VP/Market Manager Tony Salvadore said, "Dave's work on behalf of KFOG, and most recently, his work on behalf of the Bone, has been nothing short of spectacular. In a business that is changing very quickly these are the kind of changes that are inevitable. Dave will always be thought of as an important part of the history that is KFOG."
