Gospel WCHB/Detroit Returns to Talk on Weekdays

Gospel WCHB-AM/Detroit, home of popular local personality Mildred Gaddis, will return to its talk format during weekdays, beginning May 11. The lineup will start with Gaddis' morning program "Inside Detroit" (6am-10am). Following Gaddis will be Pulitzer Prize-winning Reverend Angelo Henderson (10am-1pm), Reverend Al Sharpton (1-4pm) and a rebroadcast of "Inside Detroit" from 5-9pm.
Sharpton's show was cancelled last year when the station made the switch to a primarily gospel format. "The decision to bring Al Sharpton's show back was based upon strong feedback from the community," said VP/GM Kathy Stinehour. "WCHB is committed to continuing our tradition of bringing quality programming to the Detroit community and we feel that this move is another step in that direction."
