CC/Chicago Names Romero WNUA (Mega 95.5) PD

Clear Channel/Chicago names Omar Romero as Program Director and afternoon host (3-7pm) of Spanish CHR WNUA-FM (Mega 95.5), effective June 15. The station, launched on May 22, is Chicago's first full market signal to program Spanish Contemporary music. Most recently, Romero served as PD/afternoons of co-owned KLOL-FM/Houston.

"Mega 95.5 represents a new generation of radio and there's not a better person to lead our team than Omar Romero," said OM Tony Coles. "His track record of success, passion for perfection, and enthusiasm made him a natural choice."

Romero previously worked as PD/afternoon personality for co-owned KEGL-FM/Dallas, KABQ-FM/Albuquerque, and Format Director of Clear Channel's HD Regional Mexican format channel. Romero also held various programming and on-air positions at Spanish Broadcasting Systems' KZAB-FM and KLAX-FM in Los Angeles.

"I am very excited about joining Mega 95.5," said Romero. "And, I look forward to working closely with the management, sales, promotion, and programming teams to create a product that is second to none."
