WEEI/Boston Partners with FlyCast For Mobile Access

Sports WEEI-AM & FM/Boston has unveiled a new multi-functional, interactive iPhone app that gives Boston sports fans a unique mobile phone experience. The new application provides users another channel to listen to content from WEEI and its sports programming on a mobile basis.

The new application, designed by FlyCast, has multiple functions for users, including the ability to listen to WEEI anywhere. The live audio also has a jump back feature, where users can rewind up to two hours on live audio content. Also, the app offers on-demand content, so Boston sports fans never have to miss a segment or interview. Additionally, the new app allows users to access Twitter, so they can share their thoughts on Boston sports.

"This is a must-have iPhone application if you are a Boston sports fan," said VP/GM Tim Murphy. "The ability to listen to WEEI programming anywhere, anytime, and control the audio like never before is a huge breakthrough. Combining all this with access to Twitter truly gives us a cutting-edge, interactive application that gives users a full 360 Boston sports experience."

"WEEI is the sports Flagship of the FlyCast Mobile Broadcast Network," said FlyCast CEO Dave Kennedy. "We've worked closely with them to create a unique solution for delivering the station's streams and on-demand programming to WEEI listeners. WEEI is easily our most innovative terrestrial broadcasting partner, committed to bringing the best solutions to its avid fan base."
