Radio One Ups Smith to Inspirational Format Director


Radio One/Philadelphia OM and veteran programmer Elroy Smith adds the newly-created position of Inspirational Format Director. He along with Radio One Senior VP/Programming Jay Stevens and Gospel OM Jerry Smith will now oversee all of company's Gospel and/or Inspirational outlets. Smith will continue as OM of Radio One's group in Philly, but relinquishes programming duties at Urban WPHI-FM (100.3 The Beat).

Prior to joining the cluster in 2007, Smith was OM of Clear Channel's Urban WGCI-FM and OM/PD of Urban AC WVAZ-FM (V103)/Chicago. He joined WGCI as PD in 1992, adding similar duties at WVAZ in October, 2000.
