Mahalick Named Alpha/Portland Dir./FM Programming


After announcing the acquisition of CBS Radio's Portland, OR, cluster, Alpha Broadcasting has assumed control under a LMA and names Scott Mahalick as Director/Music Stations and PD of co-owned Country KUPL PD. The 4-station group also includes AAA KINK-FM, Alternative KUFO-FM and Talk KCMD-AM. Mahalick replaces John Paul at KUPL.

Most recently, Mahalick PD of KBWF-FM (95.7 The Wolf)/San Francisco and PD of KKWF-FM/Seattle. He joined KBWF for the second time in October, 2008, after leaving in February, 2007, to flip then KMAX-FM/San Francisco to The Wolf.

Prior to KKWF, Mahalick served as Entercom's VP/Product Development and Corporate Director/Programming. Before that, he was General Manager for Citadel's Salt Lake City group.
