Alpha Broadcasting Announces Management Team


Alpha Broadcasting Chairman/CEO Larry Wilson announced his new management team in Portland, OR, on Tuesday. The appointments reunite his former Citadel colleagues Bob Proffitt as President/COO and Brian Jennings as Director of Programming/Spoken Word Stations. As previously reported, Scott Mahalick becomes Director of Programming/Music Stations and PD of KUPL.

Proffitt joins Alpha from his recent position as Senior VP/Market Manager for CBS Radio's group in Las Vegas. Prior to that he spent 16 years working with Wilson at Citadel Broadcasting where he rose to President/COO before Wilson sold the company in 2001. Proffitt will oversee operations for KINK-FM, KUPL-FM, KUFO-FM and KCMD-AM acquired from CBS Radio earlier this month. He will also oversee KXL-AM and KXTG-FM recently purchased from Rose City Radio.

Jennings, another veteran broadcaster who will head up the programming of Alpha's spoken word stations including KXL-AM, KCMD-AM and KXTG-FM. He served as National VP/Programming for Citadel overseeing 40+ Talk stations. In his early radio career, he spent 16 years on the air at KXL.
