PD James Derby Leaves KXL and KXTG/Portland

After nearly 10 years with previous owner Rose City Radio in Portland, OR, PD James Derby is exiting the now Alpha group for a position with Federated Media's Big Toe Marketing in South Bend, IN, reports Oregon Media. He leaves behind programming duties at News/Talk KXL-AM and Sports/Talk KXTG-FM (95.5 The Game). Previously, Derby worked at KDUK-FM/Eugene, OR, along with Sports KFXX-AM and KGON-FM in Portland.
In an e-mail to the staff, Derby says he wishes Alpha Broadcasting "the very best and hope you all great success here in Portland."
Derby is being replaced by veteran Talk radio programmer and VP/Programming Talk Stations Brian Jennings, who is now overseeing programming at KXL, KXTG and KCMD-AM.
