KTAR/Phoenix PD Russ Hill Joins Ownd Media Group

Bonneville Talk KTAR-FM/Phoenix Program Director Russ Hill will exit to join Ownd Media Group, a social marketing and digital brand development company. Prior to becoming PD in 2006, the veteran radio newsman came to KTAR from co-owned KSL-AM/Salt Lake City where he worked as News and Program Director. While at KSL, the station won five Edward R. Murrow Awards in three years.

Hill wrote on his personal blog, "Today marks the end of a long chapter in my life. After more than 14 years working for one of broadcasting's finest companies, I have announced my departure. From Bonneville. From radio. From broadcasting... I have the unique opportunity to lead and build a company that will help individuals and businesses more fully grasp the implications of this sea change."

Hill previously worked for KTAR for a brief period in mid-1990s and is a San Antonio native whose first reporting job was with KTSA-AM there.
