Too often these days we here of abrupt layoffs and stealth format flips -- mostly out of corporate fear of verbal tongue lashings from displaced DJs. So it was nice to see 47-year-old Shellie Hart given the opportunity to end her 21-year Seattle career with dignity and the chance to say goodbye to fans.
Hart and Clear Channel mutually agreed that it was time to move on so she aired her final 5-hour shift taking calls from and reminiscing with fans -- many who told her they grew up listening to her on KUBE-FM/Seattle. Nice one folks and to Shellie Hart -- our best wishes for the future. You're one of the great ones!
