Cumulus CEO Lew Dickey (pictured) has announced his company will be transferring the websites for all 500-plus radio stations to the Triton Digital platform over the next four to six weeks. The move enables Cumulus to take advantage of Triton's suite of services and expedite the process of getting Cumulus stations on iHeartRadio.
Dickey said a standard platform was needed before the stations could all be launched on iHeart which is why there's been a delay in getting them on the Clear Channel app. Dickey says Cumulus chose Triton as the most efficient and economical solution and will include the Stream The World platform for streaming along with measurement, e-mail, loyalty and contesting tools. Dickey noted, "Triton gave us maximum flexibility and the technology they have was the best solution for us."
