Cumulus CEO Says Finebaum Will Never Work for Cox

There have been widely circulating reports that Birmingham sportscaster Paul Finebaum and Cumulus were close to settling their long-standing feud in a deal that would have Finebaum moving to Cox early next year. However, Talkers Magazine now reports Cumulus co-COO John Dickey has said, "He will never work for Cox in Birmingham." So the battle that never ends appears to be nowhere closer to a solution than it was when it began.
Finebaum sued Cumulus over a contract dispute when the sale of Citadel and Cumulus was going through. A judge had set a May 30th deadline for Finebaum and Cumulus to iron out an agreement but clearly that has not happened.
