Elroy Smith Exits Radio One/Philadelphia as OM

Radio One Director of Inspirational Programming Elroy Smith exits the Urban radio broadcaster where he also served as Operations Manager of its cluster in Philadelphia. The veteran programmer added the newly-created format director duties in July, 2009. Previously, he programmed the cluster's Urban WPHI-FM (100.3 The Beat). Prior to his move to Philadelphia in 2007, Smith was OM of Clear Channel's Urban WGCI-FM and OM/PD of Urban AC WVAZ-FM (V103)/Chicago.
Smith joined WGCI as PD in 1992, adding similar duties at WVAZ in October, 2000. He's also programmed the company's Black Gospel WPZE-FM/Charlotte and Gospel WPPZ-FM (Praise 103.9) and Urban AC WRNB-FM/Philadelphia.
