Laurie Cantillo Exits WTOP/Washington DC as PD

Laurie Cantillo exits WTOP/Washington, DC, as Program Director after four years in the post. She is a veteran radio programmer and writer who has worked with talent ranging from Oprah to Imus. Previously, Cantillo spent three years as PD of Cumulus' WABC and WABCradio.com in New York. Before joining the News/Talker in January, 2009, Cantillo was PD of News/Talk KFYI-AM and KGME-AM (XTRA Sports 910)/Phoenix.
In a memo to her staff memo, Cantillo wrote, "This the right time for me to pursue my next adventure... My immediate plan is to co-create a screenplay ... and finally get around to writing that next best seller. Radio and digital media innovation will continue to be a big part of my life, so stay tuned."
Meanwhile Mitchell Miller, Mike McMearty and Darci Marchese will share WTOP programming duties.
