Veteran morning personality Ross Brittain, current host of the "The Breakfast Club" on WOGL-FM/Philadelphia, signed off the Oldies outlet for the last time on Friday morning. Brittain spent eleven years in the morning slot after taking over WOGL wakeups in June, 2004. Previously, he had handled mornings at WKSS-FM (Kiss 95-7)/Hartford for 8 years. Brittain was also apart of the original "Z Morning Zoo" at Z100/New York and spent 10 years there (through 1994).

Brittain said, "One last time, I want to thank General Manager, Jim Loftus, who started the same day I did, Program Director Anne Gress and the wonderful people who work here including the people in the studio with me now, Frank Lewis, Valerie Knight, Bill Zimpfer, who will be on the air even after I leave. Thanks to our Music Director, Tommy McCarthy, the staff and management here at WOGL and of course, the listeners."

PD Anne Gress added, "For over a decade, Ross Brittain has awakened Philadelphia as morning drive host of the Breakfast Club on 98.1 WOGL. He's been an incredible part of WOGL's history, including helping us raise millions of dollars for Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, marrying listeners at Geno's Steaks, doing remote broadcasts from the Caribbean and so much more. Ross is a consummate professional, a true gentleman and a great friend to us all."

In May, WOGL-FM/Philadelphia won an Excellence in Broadcasting Awards from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters for "Outstanding Local Radio Personality/Team." The award went to air personalities Ross Brittain, Valerie Knight, Frank Lewis, Bill Zimpfer and producer Jamyra Perry for the "Ross Brittain and The Breakfast Club" morning show.

The Billboard award-winning air personality also has a long-running with with USRN to handle both the affiliate relations and national advertising sales for "The Ross Brittain Report."
