KJAZZ 88.1 Pays Tribute to Jazz Personality Parlocha

KKJZ-FM (KJazz 88.1)/Long Beach, CA, will honor the legacy of jazz aficionado Bob Parlocha in an hour-long tribute show Friday, August 28 from 7-8pm. Parlocha was a nationally-known jazz expert, on-air host, producer, and former programmer whose Dinner Jazz Show filled nights with warmth for more than twenty years. Parlocha died unexpectedly on March 15 of a heart attack at the age of 76.

KJazz host Nick Tyler narrates the program which includes music and archival segments from Parlocha and will feature comments from KJazz air talent and colleagues David Benoit, Helen Borgers, Bubba Jackson, and Jose Rizo.
