Veteran Chicago Journalist Grzanich Joins WGN

Veteran Chicago journalist and broadcaster Steve Grzanich will anchor "The Opening Bell," an hour-long weekday business show at 5am beginning January 4. "The Opening Bell" will be an hour for investors, entrepreneurs, innovators and every Chicagoan who wants to better understand how their money moves. The program will be available on demand via the WGN Radio app, iTunes and the Rivet Radio app. Grzanich previously spent 20 years with WBBM-AM and is a contributing reporter at Chicago-based Rivet Radio.

"You will get much more than the numbers with Steve," said VP/Programming and Content Todd Manley. "You'll get the plotlines and the characters that fuel the business world from one of our town's greatest reporters."

"The Opening Bell" will lead into the Steve Cochran Show from 6-10am weekdays. Grzanich will join news voice Andrea Darlas in delivering the news during morning drive.
