Jimmy Steele Joins Cumulus/Mobile as OM

Seasoned radio programmer Jimmy Steele has been named Operations Manager for Cumulus Media's five-station cluster in Mobile, AL. In the newly created position, Steele will oversee operations for WABD-FM, WGOK-AM, WBLX-FM, WDLT-FM and WXQW-AM. He will also serve as Program Director for WXQW-AM.

"I'm thrilled to join Cumulus Media at an exciting time in the company's evolution, and look forward to working with the talented and diverse team within the Cumulus-Mobile cluster," said Steele.

Steele has more than 30 years' experience as a program director, operations manager and on-air talent and joins Cumulus from iHeart Media in Reading, PA, where he was Program Director for WRFY-FM and WRAW AM/FM and Morning Show Host on WRFY-FM. Steele also served iHeart Media as Senior Vice President, Programming, for its six stations in Ocean City/Salisbury, MD. Prior to that, he was Director of Operations/Brand Manager for Saga Communications' four stations Columbus, OH. Previously, Steele held career posts at iHeart Media/Clear Channel, including: Operations Manager and Director of Programming for its seven-station group in San Diego, CA; Regional Vice President/Programming, Columbus, OH and Central Ohio regional markets; and Program Director of WNCI-FM. He was also Program Director for iHeart Media/Clear Channel's WRVW-FM in Nashville, TN.
