Paul Cannell is appointed as Program Director for Cumulus Media's WZRH-FM (Alt 92.3) and WRKN-FM (NASH FM 106.1)/New Orleans, effective August 14. Cannell is a veteran programmer who previously served as Program Director and air personality for stations including WRMR/Wilmington NC, WMFX/Columbia SC, WKLR/Richmond VA, KOOJ/Baton Rouge LA and KTUX/Shreveport LA. He was also Digital Managing Editor for WKBU/New Orleans, and for Townsquare Media's six stations in Shreveport, LA.

Cumulus New Orleans VP/Market Manager Pat Galloway said, "Paul will be a great addition to an incredible team and will lead us on to incredible success for both Alt 92.3 and NASH 106.1. I am fortunate to have already worked with Paul in the past and love his collaborative management style. Paul knows New Orleans, Baton Rouge and the Gulf South and loves the area! Alt 92.3 is simply on fire in the ratings and I'm confident Paul will simply enhance its performance."

Cannell added, "How often does this happen? A chance to go home to your favorite city and program not one, but two incredible radio stations? I can't wait to work with Pat Galloway again - I know we're going to have a great time shaking up radio in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and the Gulf Coast. Many thanks to Pat, Troy Hanson, Doug Hamand, Mike McVay, and all at Cumulus Media for this amazing opportunity."
