Cape Cod Broadcasting Media was recognized for excellence in the categories of news, commercial production and special event/local programming by the Massachusetts Broadcasters Association during the organization's recent annual conference in Framingham. CCB Media won awards for Spot News Coverage, Individual Commercial Production and Local Program or Special Event. In the category of Spot News, the company was recognized for excellence with a Merit Award for its ongoing coverage of the opiate and fentanyl crisis on Cape Cod.

"This is a critical issue that we strive to cover accurately and with compassion on a regular basis. This award is a recognition of the work so many in the healthcare, public safety and social service sector are doing to combat the epidemic," said News Director Matt Pitta.

CCB Media also was recognized with a First Place Award in the category of Individual Commercial for the "Bryden and Sullivan-Summer Toys" campaign.

"I am extremely proud of the recognition the CCB Media team recently received at the Mass Broadcaster's Association awards ceremony. The acknowledgment for news excellence, as well as the recognition received for quality commercial production and public service campaigns, illustrate the scope of CCB-Media's commitment to the Cape Cod Community," said CCB Media Director of Programming Jerry McKenna.
